About

The programming syntax database

SyntaxDB allows users to quickly look up syntax for programming languages. SyntaxDB is designed for programmers who often need to do a Google search for their syntax needs, like these people. SyntaxDB's goal is to one day become the world's fastest programming reference.

About Me

I recently graduated from Queen's University for Computer Engineering and Economics. You can learn more on my personal site which is here. If you'd like to contact me directly, shoot me an email!

How to Help

Something I'm very happy and surprised with is the number of people asking how they can help. The most requested feature for SyntaxDB has been a way to let you developers contribute, and I'm happy to say that's the next feature I'll be working on! In the meantime, if you'd like to help:

  • If you see anything wrong with the current content (syntax, examples, etc.), please submit feedback and I'll fix it as soon as I can. In addition, I've love to hear your thoughts on how to improve the API.
  • Write extensions! I've written one for Visual Studio Code, and one user wrote a great one for Atom. One of my goals is to have SyntaxDB integrated into every editor and IDE, so I'd love it if you were to contribute to the cause. If you're really proud of what you built (doesn't need to be an editor extension), let me know and I'll have it featured!
  • Content

All content on the site (with the exception of the documentation links of course) was written internally, and is only for use on this site. If you have any suggestions or feedback for a page, definitely let me know!

If you have any questions, send me a message here.
